NCAA Football Weekly Betting Roundup - Sept. 10
As we head into Week 3 of the 2014 college football betting season, we may not know which four teams will be in this year’s first ever playoff for a national title, but we can safely assume that the Big Ten will probably not be represented in the field with every one of its top teams already sporting a loss.

Florida State remains the No.1 team in the nation, but Oregon’s 46-27 victory over then-No. 7 Michigan State as a 14-point home favorite carried the Ducks past Alabama for the No. 2 spot in the AP’s latest Top 25 poll. The other Big Ten power that fell last Saturday was Ohio State in a stunning 35-21 loss to unranked Virginia Tech as a 10-point favorite at home. The Spartans fell to No. 13 and the Buckeyes are now ranked No. 22. No. 2 Oregon will face Wyoming this Saturday as a 43-point home favorite with the total set at 65.

Turning to this week’s slate, the top matchup of the day pits No. 6 Georgia on the road against No. 24 South Carolina in a SEC clash. The Bulldogs have been opened by Viet Bet as 5.5-point favorites with the total set at 60. Georgia is 4-2 straight-up in its last six trips to Columbia, but it is just 1-4-2 against the spread in its last seven road games against the Gamecocks.

No. 21 Louisville will look to go 2-0 in its new conference as a 6.5-point road favorite over Virginia with the total set at 47.5. The Cardinals made a splash in their ACC debut by beating Miami (FL) 31-13 as six-point favorites at home.

The top-ranked team in the Big 12 is the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners, who have won their first two games over Louisiana Tech and Tulsa by a combined score of 100-23. They will face the SEC’s Tennessee Volunteers this Saturday as 20.5-point home favorites. Viet Bet’s total line for this game has been set at 54.5.

No. 3 Alabama continues to ease its way into the new season with a home game against Southern Miss this Saturday as a 48-point favorite. The total in this contest is set at 55. The Tide had their hands full against West Virginia in their opener in a 33-23 victory as 22-point road favorites, but last week they rolled over Florida Atlantic 41-0 as 42-point favorites at home.
