NFL training camps will start opening all across the country over the next week or so which can only mean one thing; the start of a new season of football is almost here. NFL 2014 Futures Odds Betting Report- Super Bowl XLIX

Seattle’s stunning 43-8 victory over Denver in last season’s Super Bowl as two-point underdogs has set the stage for the Seahawks to open this season as +525 favorites to successfully defend their title. The last time any team won back-to-back Super Bowls was New England in 2003 and 2004.

The second-favorite to win it all this year on BetAnySports futures board is the Broncos at +640. The last time a team lost a Super Bowl and made it to the big game the following season was all the way back in 1993 when Buffalo went to its fourth-straight Super Bowl and lost them all.

Given the past trends that are working against the top two favorites, you might want to take a hard look at San Francisco’s +700 odds to finally break through after three-straight trips to the NFC Championship Game in a run that included a loss to Baltimore in Super Bowl XLVII just two years ago. The Patriots are the fourth-favorite on the list at +900 and they have been to five Super Bowls (winning three) since the 2001 season. Their last appearance came in Super Bowl XLVI when they lost to the New York Giants 21-17.

The betting odds start to fall off from there with Green Bay listed at +1300 to win its first Super Bowl since 2010 when it beat Pittsburgh 31-25 in Super Bowl XLV. The New Orleans Saints have not been to the Super Bowl since beating Indianapolis 31-17 to cap-off a title run in the 2009 NFL season. The Saints odds to win the NFL title this season have been set at +1600.

The Colts are next on BetAnySports Super Bowl futures list at +2500 followed by Philadelphia at +2700 and Cincinnati at +3300. The Ravens round out the top 10 teams on the list with betting odds of +3700 to win Super Bowl XLIX.

The team with the longest odds to win this season’s Super Bowl is Jacksonville at +30000. Oakland is listed at +25000 and Tennessee has the third-longest odds at +20000.
