NFL Divisional Round Playoffs Betting Preview

NFL Divisional Round Playoffs Betting Preview

The Wild Card Round of this season’s NFL Playoffs is in the books and the four winning teams now move onto the Divisional Round to face the top two seeds in each conference. The stakes are extremely high in these four showdowns with a trip to the conference championships on the line.

The first game on tap this Saturday afternoon pits the Baltimore Ravens on the road against the New England Patriots. The Ravens have had their fair share of success in the postseason against New England with a straight-up record of 2-1 and a perfect mark of 3-0 against the spread in the last three playoff games between these AFC foes. This time around GTBETS has listed the Patriots as 6.5-point home favorites and the betting odds for the total have been set at 47.5.

This Saturday night, the Carolina Panthers will continue their improbable run in the playoffs as heavy 11-point road underdogs against Seattle. The total line in this NFC tilt has been set at 39.5. The Panthers knocked-off Arizona 27-16 in the Wild Card Round as 5.5-point favorites at home, but they are still just 1-3 both SU and ATS in their last four playoff games. The Seahawks come in with a 4-1 record SU and ATS in their last five postseason games and they are 6-1 SU (4-3 ATS) in their last seven games against Carolina. The total has stayed UNDER at the NFL Sportsbooks in four of the last five games between these two.

The Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers will kick-off the action on Sunday at Lambeau Field. The Cowboys squeezed by Detroit 24-20 last Sunday as six-point home favorites, but this time around they have been listed by 5Dimes as six-point underdogs on the road. The total for this game has been set at 52.5. Dallas has been hot on the road with a nine-game SU winning streak while going 7-2 ATS. The Packers have won their last eight home games SU and they are 6-1-1 ATS so something is going to have to give in this one.

The final Divisional Round matchup sends Indianapolis on the road to Denver as a seven-point underdog. The NFL betting odds for this total have been set at 54. The Colts have dominated this series in recent years with a 6-1 SU edge in the last seven meetings while going a perfect 7-0 ATS, but they opened this season with a 31-24 loss in Denver as 8.5-point road underdogs. The total has gone OVER in eight of the last nine meetings. Top
