NFL Sportsbook Odds at Every1bets.com – Browns Need to Rebound Against Raiders

The Cleveland Browns could have hardly played worse last week than they did against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but those things happen sometimes when you are caught celebrating a victory, as they were (after beating Pittsburgh) and don’t pay enough attention to the opponent in front of you. They will try to regroup and rebound against the Oakland Raiders in Sunday action that gets underway at 4:25 PM ET at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.

In the Asian Sportsbooks betting odds that have been posted on this game by the people at BetAnySports, the Browns are laying almost a touchdown:

Honestly, the big question you have to ask about the Cleveland Browns is whether they showed their true colors last week when they couldn’t seem to get out of their own way against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cleveland played a lot like it did in the preseason, with horrible quarterback play, as Brian Hoyer completed just 16 out of his 41 passes and this team gave Jacksonville some silly chances in the fourth quarter. Cleveland managed three interceptions on the afternoon, but did next to nothing in capitalizing on them. So there is no question that this squad has to come out with much more urgency against another winless team.

When BetAnySports Asian Bookies online customers think about it, it probably was a blessing that this team found itself flat last week, because they know that they can’t overlook any opponent. Coach Mike Pettine, in his first year at the helm, has done a pretty good job of getting some real effort out of this club in every game, which is why last Sunday’s performance was probably an aberration.

Speaking of effort, Tony Sparano, the former head coach in Miami who is now handling the job on an interim basis in Oakland, has at least gotten some effort out of his team in the last couple of weeks. They took San Diego right down to the wire, and then loss to Arizona in what was a rather competitive game. This is a team that was understandably going to have to go through some growing pains with rookie quarterback Derek Carr, and because he has not necessarily been a pastor who has been able to stretch the field (6.1 yards per attempt), he has allowed opposing defensive coordinators to play against this Oakland attack much differently than they might otherwise.
