NFL Week 4 Betting Preview

NFL Week 4 Betting Preview

Heading into Week 4 of the NFL regular season the ranks of the unbeaten have been trimmed to just three early survivors, which just so happens to be the same number of teams still looking for their first win.

Of the three unbeaten (Cincinnati, Arizona and Philadelphia) only the Eagles will be in action this week as the other two teams have a bye. The NFC East leaders will have a tall task on their hands to make it to 4-0 as 5.5-point road underdogs against San Francisco this Sunday afternoon.

The 49ers are riding a two-game losing streak into this game and they desperately need a win to keep from falling into an early hole in the NFC West. BetOnline has set the betting odds for the total in this game at 50.5. Check out FanDuel Fantasy Football.

The bottom two teams in the NFC East at 1-2 will try and each even their mark on the year this Thursday night when the New York Giants travel to Washington to tangle with the Redskins. The NFL betting odds in this divisional clash have the home team favored by 3.5 points with the total set at 45.5. The Giants have won six of their last eight road games against the Redskins straight-up and the total has stayed UNDER in the last five meetings overall.

Another big divisional battle on this week’s slate takes us to the NFC North where Green Bay will try and get back to .500 on the year as a one-point road favorite against 2-1 Chicago. The total in this contest has been set at 49.5. The Packers have dominated this series in recent years with a 7-1 SU record in the last eight games. They have covered against the spread in six of the last seven games in this heated rivalry.

Buffalo and Houston each started the new season strong with solid victories in their first two games, but each will be coming off a bad loss in Week 3 when they butt heads at NRG Stadium this Sunday afternoon. BetOnline has listed the Texans as three-point home favorites with the total set at 41. The total has stayed UNDER in for of the last five games between the two AFC foes.

Week 4 in the NFL wraps things up with New England (2-1) on the road against Kansas City (1-2) on Monday Night Football. The Patriots have been listed as 3.5-point favorites and the total has been set at 45. Top
