The Arizona Cardinals have come back from a couple of road losses in a row, and they sure could use some home cooking. They usually get it; this team is a perfect 6-0 straight-up at University of Phoenix Stadium, and they have failed to cover only one of those games – the season opener against San Diego. But in beating the Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions in their Glendale home, they have demonstrated that they have a very tough place to play.

But there is no question about the fact that Arizona has to find some precision on offense. Drew Stanton, who has been given the quarterback responsibilities since the injury that ended Carson Palmer’s season, must prove that he is a threat to strike and get the opponent’s respect. Last week he was intercepted twice in Atlanta, and it will help him if he can get Larry Fitzgerald back in the lineup. The lanky receiver has missed the last two games, but BetAnySports customers should know that all indications are that he will be available for this one. Andre Ellington is not that lucky; the running back is a hip injury and will be on the sidelines. He is the only player on the Arizona roster who has more than 83 yards rushing.

Kansas City is a team that also has somewhat limited offensive weaponry. Pro football betting fans know by now that this team has not had one touchdown pass go to a wide receiver this year. They also know that the Chiefs have turned the ball over only 11 times, so it is completely justified that Alex Smith can be called a “game manager.” One thing he sometimes has problems managing is the opposition’s pass rush (sacked 33 times), so expect that Arizona will come with a variety of blitzes in an attempt to force him into unloading too early. However, the Chiefs have the running back who can help keep a pass rush honest, as Jamaal Charles has piled up 807 yards on the season, with eight touchdowns and a five-yard per carry average.

The Chiefs are coming off their most disappointing offensive effort of the season, as they were held to just 151 yards by the Denver Broncos. Keep in mind that Arizona is pretty good at keeping opponents out of the end zone; the Cardinals are #3 in the league in points allowed on a per-drive basis. They also have 16 interceptions in the secondary, and allowed just 3.7 yards per rushing attempt. So expect them to be double-tough at home, and don’t expect any gifts from Arizona either, as like the Chiefs, they have only 11 turnovers on the season.
