Two of the NFL’s worst teams get together in this game, but there are still some interesting storylines surrounding the Sunday encounter between the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears,. which kicks off at 1 PM ET at Soldier Field, which has not necessarily been a tough place for opponents to play since John Fox became the head coach. After the opening kickoff, BetAnySports customers, who partake in Asian casino action with three no-download options, can keep the action going with real-time wagering from Live Betting Extra.

The Niners, of course, are led on the field by Colin Kaepernick, a controversial figure this season to say the least. And he got no less controversial in Miami last week in the wake of the death of Fidel Castro. Before the death of Cuba’s longtime leader, Kaepernick showed up at a press function with a Castro T-shirt on, and he caught a lot of hell. There even brawls in the stands because of it, for which the Dolphins later had to actually ban some season ticket holders.

This didn’t seem to affect the San Francisco quarterback much on the field. He threw for 296 yards and ran the ball for 113 more, and could have forced overtime against a team that had won six straight games, but was stopped on the two-yard line on a fourth down with time running out.

When BetAnySports patrons look at this Niner team, despite having just one win on the season, they have demonstrated some more competitiveness with Kaepernick at QB. They battled Arizona rather evenly and had New England in a genuine ballgame for at least three quarters. The game against the red-hot Dolphins was very winnable.

The Bears have gone through a nightmare scenario at quarterback. Jay Cutler, a polarizing figure in a different way than Kaepernick, was susceptible to sacks and got hurt early, which paved the way for Brian Hoyer, who went on to throw 200 passes without an interception. But then Hoyer broke his arm, bringing Cutler back into the mix. After Cutler’s SECOND injury, this time to his shoulder, the team had to turn to Matt Barkley, who made his first NFL start against the Tennessee Titans last Sunday. He 316 yards passing, with three TD’s and two interceptions, and almost brought his team back from a three-TD deficit. If he can make progress, that would be a very encouraging sign.

But the Bears could be starting a period of transition. Fox may not be around next year; the team has lost ten of its 13 home games under him. And there are notable absences on offense, such as wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, tight end Zach Miller and guard Kyle Long – at the very least. Niner coach Chip Kelly, who might be wishing he could go back to Oregon right now (hey, there’s an opening) has to be happy that he has gotten running back Carlos Hyde back into the lineup, because San Francisco has a much more formidable ground game right now.
