The Baylor Bears are in an awkward position as they line up to face the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday night. They are also in a rather angry position, because they don’t believe they have got enough respect from the people who are making the decisions on the college football playoff committee. In fact, they feel as if their previous victory over TCU should have them in the top four, regardless of whether TCU is also there or not. As it turns out, TCU is the #3 team in the country, and destroyed Iowa State on Saturday afternoon, so there is little chance of them sliding. Baylor, which is #6, knows exactly what it has to do, and BetAnySports customers know it as well. They have to beat Kansas State and beat them decisively, on the way to winning the Big 12 title.

College football bettors will certainly want to know whether they can run up that many points. Well, Kansas State has a well-drilled defense, but that has not kept Baylor out of the end zone in recent meetings. In fact, the Bears have scored 122 points over the last three encounters, including 52 last year. They play at a brisk pace, and throw the ball all over the field. That kind of offense was employed by TCU against the Wildcats a few weeks ago in a very convincing 41-20 victory for the Horned Frogs.

Bill Snyder’s team is going to have to put some points on the board. But it’s not as if this team has been ultra-conservative; K-State have one of the better wide receiver duos in the country, when you consider the combined 146 catches of Tyler Lockett and Curry Sexton. Jake Waters has opened things up with 694 passing yards over the last two games, and he has kept his mistakes to a minimum (only five interceptions).

Bryce Petty got the thumbs up from Baylor’s medical staff this week, as there had been some concern on the oart of some BetAnySports USA Online Sportsbooks patrons about his availability coming off a concussion he had suffered against Texas Tech. In that game, the Bears had to turn to Seth Russell, the backup, and things were much tighter than this team anticipated, as they won by only two points (48-46) against a squad that had given up 82 points to TCU earlier in the season.

But Baylor has been vulnerable lately, even to freshman quarterbacks. Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, both piloted by first-year men, totaled 74 points against them in the last two games. College football bettors should keep in mind that Kansas State has covered eight of its last nine contests.
