The Minnesota Vikings have to be smarting from a performance that wasn’t pleasant, as they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, which spoiled a certain “homecoming” for Sam Bradford, who got sacked six times. Was this a situation where the team was “exposed” a bit for its lack of a running game? Well, maybe not, because they actually ran pretty well. But it may have been a matter of whether Bradford could carry a team with his arm.

Is there a different standard for them to meet as they face the Chicago Bears? We’ll found out, in this Monday night game that begins at 8:30 PM ET at Soldier Field. Of course, this is an ESPN telecast, and while BetAnySports online Sportsbook customers (who enjoy no-download Asian casino action in their spare time) are watching it, they can place wagers as it is happening, using the facilities of Live Betting Ultra.

Jay Cutler is coming back to play, as he has been cleared after his thumb injury. That is just in time, because Brian Hoyer, who was having a nice season statistically, went down with a broken forearm. That’s a bit of shame, for a couple of reasons. One is that Hoyer had not thrown an interception in 200 attempts, which was a kind of redemption after he turned the ball over four times in a playoff game for the Texans last season. And another reason is that the Bears don’t seem too high on moving forward with Cutler in the future, yet here they are, saddled with him again.

Before he got hurt, Cutler had thrown 46 passes and got sacked eight times. His offensive line is a mess right now. The Bears were never too solid on the outside, and now their Pro Bowl guards – Josh Sitton and Kyle Long – has been hit with injuries. This doesn’t appear to bode very well for the ground game, which recently got a shot in the arm from rookie Jordan Howard, who has a nice per-carry average (4.8).

BetAnySports and pay per head patrons should keep an eye out for the availability of Jerick McKinnon, who without Adrian Peterson around, might be their top running back. He suffered an ankle injury against the Eagles. But the Bears are going to try and use some of the same blueprint the Eagles used last week, which is to perhaps deal with the run second, and with Bradford’s relative immobility first. So expect a pass rush.

Of course, when it comes to defense, the Vikings are right up near the top; despite the loss to Philly, they gave up just 239 total yards, and have surrendered just 14 points a game. Chicago has gotten banged up in its receiver corps, so could the Vikes afford more attention toward Alshon Jeffery? Maybe they could.

It also remains to be seen how turnover-prone Cutler is going to be. He threw a pair of INT’s before he had gotten hurt, and Minnesota is the top team in the NFL with a +11 turnover margin. If that goes in the other direction, we may have more of a game on our hands.
