For the Florida gators, it had to be a tremendously satisfying victory last week against the Georgia Bulldogs in the world’s largest outdoor cocktail party, as they dominated things on the way to a 38-20 victory that admittedly came very unexpected to a lot of BetAnySports customers. Florida had a strange statistical game, and there is an explanation for. Coach Will Mushamp benched quarterback Jeff Driskell and replace them with energetic freshman Treon Harris, whose skills lie more in running with the football than passing it. As a result, the Gator offense was rather one-dimensional. But that one dimension was absolutely outstanding.

As NCAA football bettors witnessed, Florida ran for 418 yards, which happened to be there highest total since 1989. It was also more than they had accumulated in the previous three games combined. Harris did not provide much of an aerial attack; in fact he completed only three passes for 27 yards. Could Florida continue to follow that road map? And did last week’s win earn a reprieve for Muschamp?

In last year’s meeting in Gainesville, Vanderbilt broke a 22-game losing streak to Florida with the 34-17 victory. This year they have had all kinds of problems being able to put a healthy quarterback on the field. Currently they’ve got freshman Johnny McCray, who has thrown for seven touchdowns in the last two games. But in last week’s 42-28 victory over Old Dominion, in which Vanderbilt gained 524 yards, they were facing one of the weakest defenses in Division I college football betting.

BetAnySports patrons who put some stock in technical trends must take note that Florida has covered only seven of its last 25 games. At the same time, they also have to be mindful of Vanderbilt’s relative inability to corral opposition running attacks. Old Dominion happens to be the only team Vanderbilt has held under 180 yards rushing in the last six games.
