NCAA Football Futures Odds: 2015 Heisman Trophy

NCAA Football Futures Odds: 2015 Heisman Trophy, TopBET continues to tweak its futures odds for this season’s Heisman Trophy for the best college football player in the nation. At the top of the latest list is TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin, but there is still a half a dozen or so legitimate contenders to win this award heading into a new season of college football come this September.

TopBET NFL Sportsbook

Boykin’s odds to win are currently set at 6/1 and he offers some tremendous value as not only the top player on the list, but as the top quarterback. Going all the way back to 2000, a quarterback has won the Heisman every year with the exception of 2009 went it went to Alabama running back Mark Ingram.

Boykin burst onto the scene last season in the Horned Frogs run to an impressive 12-1 record that included an 8-1 mark in the Big 12. He threw for 3,714 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding another 642 yards and eight scores on the ground. His overall performance impressed Heisman voters so much that he finished fourth on the final list, which was the highest of any active player still eligible for this year’s award.

Next on the futures list at 7/1 college football betting odds is Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott. He already loses some value because of the position he plays, but the bruising 6-foot-0, 225 lbs. back is more than capable of attracting some serious attention this year after rushing for 246 yards and four touchdowns in the Buckeyes’ 42-20 rout of Oregon in last season’s national title game. He overcame a slow start to finish his sophomore season with 1,878 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns on 273 carries. Seeing how Ohio State was ranked ninth in the nation last season in rushing yards per game, he should have ample opportunity to put-up some even bigger numbers this time around.

A few of the other players in serious contention for the 2015 Heisman Trophy include Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller, Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson and Georgia running back Nick Chubb. All three are listed at 10/1 odds to take home the hardware.

My personal favorite to win this year’s Heisman is Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott at 12/1 odds. He helped put the Bulldogs on the map last season in the powerful SEC by passing for 3,449 yards and 27 touchdowns en route to a 10-3 record.

Also listed at 12/1 Las Vegas Sportsbooks betting odds is USC quarterback Cody Kessler followed by LSU running back Leonard Fournette at 14/1. Top
