NFL 2015 Betting Futures: Odd to Win the NFC

The Seattle Seahawks have gone to the last two Super Bowls after winning NFC in 2013 and 2014 and the betting public’s early money on GTBETS NFC futures odds are backing the reigning conference champs again as +285 favorites to make it three conference titles in a row.

The shear fact it has been over 20 years since a team has won a third consecutive conference title drains a bit of value from these lofty odds, but there is no doubt that the Seahawks are still loaded with talent and more than capable of representing the NFC in Super Bowl 50. Much of their chances could hinge on securing home field advantage right through the title game. Seattle has been one of the toughest teams in the league to beat at home over the last two seasons.

The NFC team that might be taking the sharpest aim at dethroning the current champs is the Green Bay Packers as +335 second-favorites to win the conference. They made it all the way to the NFC title game last season, but came up short in a 28-22 road loss as 8.5-point underdogs. It would be hard to argue against the fact that Green Bay has the best quarterback in the conference in Aaron Rodgers and there is no doubt that Packers will be highly motivated to play this season’s title game in the friendly confines of Lambeau Field.

The Dallas Cowboys had a break-through season in 2014 with a 12-4 record and a NFC East title. Their season came to an end with a stinging 26-21 loss in Green Bay in the NFC Divisional Round Playoffs as 5.5-point road underdogs. The biggest question mark surrounding their +875 odds to win the NFC in 2015 is how will Dallas replace the offensive production of running back DeMarco Murray, who led the NFL in rushing last season with 1,845 yards.

The fourth team on GTBETS’ pro football betting NFC futures list is the Philadelphia Eagles at +1100. They also happen to be the team that signed Murray as a free agent away from their bitter division rivals this past offseason. The entire Eagles’ team underwent a complete face lift after posting back-to-back 10 win season’s in head coach Chip Kelly’s first two years in the NFL. How quickly all these new faces come together as a team with determine how far the Eagles actually go in 2015.

The NFL Sportsbooks betting odds to win the NFC for a few of the other top teams in the conference have Arizona at +1350 followed by Detroit at +1600. Both Carolina and New Orleans are set at +1800 with Atlanta (+2000) and the New York Giants (+2050) rounding-out the Top 10. Top
