The Indianapolis Colts would like to come back strong after the 42-20 loss they suffered at the hands of the New England Patriots, and they have an opportunity to do just that against an opponent that has been very “cooperative” with them in the recent past. The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a bye week, after they went to London and were spanked 31-17 by the Dallas Cowboys. At the moment this team is 1-9 straight-up, and they have covered only three of 10 games against the football pointspread. They have also not had a whole lot of success against Indianapolis lately

Back in the third week of the season, they spotted the Colts a 30-0 lead at the half, after which was garbage time. And at that point in the season, garbage time meant making the switch from veteran quarterback Chad Henne, who was not moving the offense, to rookie Blake Bortles, who has come in and given Jacksonville a little of the good and a lot of the bad. The final of that game against the Colts was 44-17, and the rookie threw two touchdown passes with two interceptions. He now has fourteen picks on the year, and so it is a rather rough transition time for him. At least he had no support from the running game at first, but does now, in the person of Denard Robinson, the former Michigan quarterback who has afforded this team the opportunity to get some big plays on the ground. Robinson has averaged 4.8 yards per carry with four touchdowns.

BetAnySports Asian Sportsbooks customers like to follow technical trends are aware that Indianapolis has covered 12 of its last 13 games immediately following a straight up loss. Andrew Luck has 28 touchdown passes on the season, and he has been through a streak of eight straight games in which he has thrown for 300 yards. In this game he will have to play without Ahmad Bradshaw, the outstanding running back who has chalked up 4.7 yards per carry, but at least they have Trent Richardson available. It appears like Indianapolis is really a Jacksonville’s number, outscoring the Jaguars by a margin of 111-30 over the last three meetings. They have also dominated the yardage statistics, outgaining the Jags by 149 yards per game.

NFL bettors should keep in mind that Jacksonville has not had any real “breakout” games on offense, having not gone beyond 24 point at all this season. As we know, the Colts can really put some points on the board, and have scored 24 points or more in eight of their 10 games. After allowing 244 yards rushing against New England, not to mention 33 first downs, this defense will be in an ornery mood to greet the rookie quarterback.
