Oakland Raiders fans must be wondering what has happened to this once-proud franchise. But then again, this is nothing new, as they have been wondering this for years. This year may be the worst experience of all, however, as the guys in Silver and Black are winless in ten games and stand a very real chance of going 0-16 for the season. If you look on the schedule, this is the first of two games against the Kansas City Chiefs, and there is also a visit to Denver to play Peyton Manning and the Broncos. There’s a home game against Bay Area rival San Francisco, and then the two most winnable games, which are a visit to St. Louis and a home game against Buffalo. If these guys come up empty, they’ll be taking odds on whether Al Davis rolls left or right in his grave.

BetAnySports customers have to be duly impressed with what the Chiefs have done, in the process of covering nine straight games. They have held their opponents without a rushing touchdown ALL YEAR LONG, and they have done exactly what coach Andy Reid has wanted to do when he first stepped into the job, which is to minimize turnovers. Kansas City has turned the ball over only 10 times this season, and to use the cliché, they “find ways to win.” You absolutely HAVE to find ways to win if you hold the ball for only 24 minutes against the defending Super Bowl champions (the Seattle Seahawks), run 25 fewer plays, and still come out on top.

Oakland, meanwhile, looks to most NFL bettors like a team stuck in the mud on offense. They have scored more than 17 points only twice this year, and against San Diego they were able to attain only nine first downs and 233 yards. There is no rushing game to speak of, despite the presence of both Darren McFadden and Maurice Jones-Drew. Derek Carr is either under tight reins or incapable of throwing the ball more than ten yards down the field. He averages 5.6 yards per attempt, and always takes the shortest outlet, it seems. BetAnySports United States Sportsbooks patrons know that Oakland’s offensive line will have its hands full trying to keep Carr (only 11 sacks suffered) well-protected, as Kansas City has legitimate pass rushers, including Justin Houston, the linebacker who already has 12 sacks.

Maybe it’s going to come down to who is better prepared in this short week. We’re going to take a wild guess that Oakland did not magically find a running game in the three days between their last game in this one. And Carr has not very quickly mastered the “vertical” game with a day or two of practice. Last year, Kansas City forced Oakland into ten turnovers in their two meetings, winning those games by scores of 56-31 and 24-7. This looks like a Kansas City team that is about as good as last year’s version, while the Raiders are, well, the Raiders. Perhaps Matt Schaub will come in to save the day.
