NFL Week 2 Betting Preview

NFL Week 2 Betting Preview Pittsburgh Steelers 2014
You can score Week 1 of the new NFL season in favor the NFL sportsbooks after seven underdogs won their opener straight-up and another four dogs covered with the points. The results on BetOnline’s NFL total line odds slightly favored the UNDER with nine of the 16 games staying UNDER the closing line.

Looking ahead to this week’s action, we start things off with one of the best rivalries in the NFL. The Pittsburgh Steelers will go on the road to face the Ravens in Baltimore as 2.5-point underdogs. They could not cover last week as 5.5-point home favorites against Cleveland after blowing a 24-point lead to win by just a field goal. The Ravens closed as one-point home favorites against Cincinnati in their opener, but they came up short in a 23-16 loss. The total for Thursday night’s division tilt has been set at 44.5.

Both Miami and Buffalo cost bettors a pretty penny with stunning opening-day upsets. The Dolphins hammered New England 33-20 as 3.5-point home underdogs, while the Bills stunned Chicago 23-20 in overtime as 6.5-point underdogs on the road. These two AFC foes will square-off this Sunday in a 1 p.m. (ET) start with Miami favored by a point on the road. The total for this game has been set at 43.

Sunday’s late afternoon games feature an AFC West clash between Kansas City and Denver. The Chiefs came up flat in their opener with a 26-10 loss to Tennessee as three-point home favorites. They will now have to go on the road to Mile High Stadium as 13-point underdogs with the total set at 51. The Broncos had their hands full this past Sunday night in their 31-24 victory over Indianapolis as 8.5-point favorites at home.

Prime time Sunday night takes us to the brand new Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco where the 49ers will play host to Chicago as seven-point favorites. BetOnline has set the total line for this game at 48.5. San Francisco is coming off a 28-17 victory over Dallas as a three-point road favorite in a game that was not nearly as close as the final score might suggest.

Week 2 will wrap things up with a Monday night showdown between Philadelphia and Indianapolis with the Colts favored by three points at home. The total for this potential shootout has been set at 53.5. The Eagles spotted Jacksonville 17 points before scoring 34 unanswered points to cover as 10-point home favorites on opening day. Top
