NFL Week 6 Betting Preview

NFL Week 6 Betting Preview

Division showdowns could be the theme of Week 6 in the NFL and 5Dimes has you covered with a complete set of NFL betting odds for all the games.

Things get underway with a battle for first place in the AFC South on Thursday Night Football. The 3-2 Indianapolis Colts invade NRG Stadium as 2.5-point road favorites against division rival Houston, which is also 3-2 on the year. The total for this game has been set at 46. The Colts are 7-1 against the spread as road favorites in their last eight games and the Texans are 1-3 ATS in their last four home games as underdogs.

Sunday’s first division tilt on the schedule takes us to Ralph Wilson Stadium for a first-place battle in the AFC East between the 3-2 New England Patriots and the surprising 3-2 Bills. The Patriots come in as three-point favorites on 5Dimes’ betting odds and the total has been set at 45. New England has completely dominated this division rivalry in recent years with a 20-1 straight-up record against Buffalo, but it is just 2-7 ATS in its last nine games as a road favorite.

Turning to the NFC North, we have a showdown between two teams in desperate need of a win after coming off bad losses. The 3-2 Detroit Lions will go on the road to face the 2-3 Minnesota Vikings and the game remains OFF 5Dimes’ betting board right now given the Vikings’ issues at the quarterback position. Even if rookie Teddy Bridgewater is ready to go for Minnesota in Sunday’s game look for the Lions to still open as three to four point favorites on the road.

The biggest division showdown on Sunday’s slate is in the NFC East with a classic division rivalry between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants have turned things around with three-straight victories after a dismal 0-2 start and the Eagles come into this game with a 4-1 record on the year. Philadelphia has been listed as a slight 2.5-point home favorite for Sunday night’s matchup and the total has been set at 50. The Eagles hold a 9-3 edge in the last 12 games in this series both SU and ATS and the total has gone OVER in five of the last six meetings with Philly favored at home.
