Premier league season 14/15

After the conclusion of world cup 2014, everyone has now turned their attention to the premier league season 14/15 which kicks off in just over a week’s time. This season seems to be one of the most anticipated campaigns in the history of Premier League because news from all the teams indicates that none of them is ready to let go of the title.

Year in year out, we have always argued that the cup will be exchanged by the big five teams – Manchester city, Manchester united, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. However, this season appears complex and unpredictable. Everton have strengthened and Tottenham have a new manager who may finally inject some passion in to their already strong squad. New comers such as Queens Park rangers and Leicester city are coming with a full swing and they are not here to fight for survival and may take some points off the big boys.

Basically the EPL title chase is very competitive. Only the strong will survive. However, because there has been a reshuffle of the teams due to recent transfers, it is clear that all teams are stronger (maybe bar Liverpool) and eager to fight. The bookies have Man city & Chelsea favourites to lift the trophy, who will you be backing? Premier League Expectations for the Season – Our predictions

As the season concludes, the chart is likely to take the following shape:

Position 1 – Chelsea

It is not possible to look beyond Chelsea for this season’s title. The team’s strength can be seen from different perspectives. First of all, the team prides itself of having one of the greatest managers in the world. It also made bold signings during the summer. Brining Thibaut Courtois back to Stanford Bridge may be the key to Chelsea this season. As we all know, Courtois skills enabled Athletico Madrid to lift their La liga title and also attain the champions’ league runners up position. Indeed, Chelsea is a team to watch. Diego Costa and Filipe Luis are also expected to work wonders at Chelsea.

Position 2 – Manchester United

United performed poorly last season but this does not mean the team is dead. Now that Moyes is gone, Man United is expected to regain its strength and it is likely to take the second position in the league. LVG will bring back that grit and steel shown of the old UTD under Sir Alex

Position 3 – Manchester City

Manchester city is no longer a team to look down own and as they are the current champions, they know what it takes to win the league. Man City have one of the strongest squads in the league and they have great cover in all positions.

Position 4 –Arsenal

Arsenal have a strong team but they may have to spend some more money before the season starts. They desperately need a world class striker, but the singing of Sanchez may prove a master-stroke by Arsene Wenger.

Whoever lifts the title at the end of the season, we cannot wait for it to start!
