Pro Football Betting – Chiefs Trying to End Three-Game Losing Streak in Nation’s Capital

The Kansas City Chiefs may not have any reason to panic, but they aren’t doing al all that well right now. Will the Washington Redskins be just what the doctor ordered? Some football bettors may have their doubts, as the game gets underway at 1 PM ET at FedEx Field in Landover. MD.

Kansas City is 9-3 straight-up this season, with a 6-6 mark against the football pointspread. They are in first position in the AFC’s wild card race, holding a three-game lead in that regard. Washington is 3-9, both straight-up and against the number.

In the pro football betting odds that have been established at BetAnySports, the Chiefs are the favorites as the visitor:

So what has happened to the Kansas City Chiefs? Well, they are still in position to grab one of the AFC’s wild card spots, but they are losers of three games in a row as their weaknesses are being exposed. Football bettors could see that the Chiefs were incredibly unusual in that they got to a 9-0 record despite being outgained by their opponents, and that was extraordinary. It certainly reflected sound execution, but also suggests that there were some unusual circumstances that benefited them. Part of it was the advantage of playing against a number of so-so quarterbacks, and against teams that made a lot of mistakes.

BetAnySports customers knew they were going to be at a loss when it came to playing against better squads with better QB’s, and that is exactly what has taken place as the Chiefs have dropped consecutive games against the Broncos, Chargers and, well, the Broncos again. The division title is only a pipe dream at this point.

But this week we go back to another mediocre opponent for the Chiefs. The Washington Redskins are a team that is now out of the playoff race, and they have the look of a club that will fold up in the second half if things get a bit to difficult for them. There have been questions from within about the leadership of Robert Griffin III, who has not had a successful sophomore season in the wake of his recovery from knee injuries that ended his career before last year’s playoffs.

Griffin has thrown way more interceptions (11) than he did last year (five) And at this point there is little the Redskins can do to stop opposing offenses. The question is whether Andy Reid will open up his Kansas City attack to exploit the Washington secondary, and based on what we saw last week from Alex Smith (293 yards), he probably will.
