The San Francisco 49ers embarrassed themselves and the game of football last week as they laid down and rolled over for their neighbors, the Oakland Raiders. They failed to bring a game plan into action, and the result was that they made rookie quarterback Derek Carr look like an All-Pro, he completed 22 out of his 28 passes. This was shameful on many levels, not the least of which was the fact that this looked like a high school offense. And pro football bettors have to wonder whether head coach Jim Harbaugh should even be around, as he is acting like he’d rather be elsewhere. And if that “elsewhere” winds up being Oakland, then it is not just shameful; it is scandalous.

The 49ers managed only 164 offensive yards on Thanksgiving night when they played the Seahawks. The way this attack has degenerated is pitiful. Colin Kaepernick looks to BetAnySports Live Betting Sportsbooks customers like another of those quarterbacks who surprises a lot of people at the beginning by running around a lot, but is positively pedestrian when asked to run a conventional NFL offense. The lack of speed on the part of his receivers has been exposed. And for some reason, these guys just don’t dominate the line of scrimmage with their running game. Frank Gore has been only so-so, and rookie Carlos Hyde, who has been hailed as a worthy successor to Gore, has not blown anyone away with his numbers.

Seattle’s defense looks like it is rounding into the form it demonstrated last season when it propelled the Seahawks to a Super Bowl championship, which was punctuated with a 43-8 destruction of Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. In consecutive games they won by 19-3 margins against both the Niners and the Arizona Cardinals, who currently sport the best record in football. And then last week, visiting the Philadelphia Eagles, they held an offense that is allegedly high-powered to 139 total yards. Obviously the key has been the fact that the Seahawks have gotten healthier, with two key ingredients – middle linebacker Bobby Wagner and safety Kam Chancellor – logging full-time action again.

And BetAnySports patrons should not underestimate the value of Russell Wilson, who has not only completed 63% of his passes, but has judiciously made decisions on when to run with the football. As a result, he is one of the league’s 20 leading rushers, and has the highest per-carry average (7.7) of anyone with over 700 yards. Entering this weekend, only one team in the NFL committed fewer turnovers per drive than the Seahawks, so this is not a team that beats itself. Fortunately for them, they are going up against a squad that has absolutely no idea on offense, may indeed have a coaching staff that is tanking for the rest of the season, and seems hell-bent on doing ANYTHING it can to beat itself.
