Pro Football Lines — Ravens and Steelers Take Wild Card Battle Head-to-Head

For those people who analyze the pro football lines and have backed the Pittsburgh Steelers or Baltimore Ravens in their NFL futures wagering at BetAnySports, there has probably been some disappointment. But one of these teams is going to have a chance to move forward in the post-season. On Thanksgiving night the Steelers and Ravens meet up in NFL action that ix set to get underway at 8:30 PM ET at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

These are two of the last three AFC representatives in the Super Bowl, but neither is at the .500 mark, and it will not be a case where both of them get to the playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs have more or less taken care of that, with a 9-2 record that has placed them well ahead of the pack in the competition for the first wild card spot. Only one other spot is going to be up for grabs, and there are a number of teams competing for it, including the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans, all tied with this duo.

In the pro football lines that BetAnySports have placed on this game, the Ravens are favored by a field goal:

It was kind of unusual that football bettors did not expect a heck of a lot from the Baltimore Ravens, despite the fact that they were the defending Super Bowl champs and had never won fewer than ten games since John Harbaugh came aboard as coach. They had indeed lost leaders on defense like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, as well as wide receiver Anquan Boldin. They came out of the gate and were buried by Denver, and although you can’t quite say that has set the tone for the season, you must say that they have never really gotten completely untracked.

The Ravens, despite their 6-4-1 record against the NFL odds, have failed in many ways. They have not developed a running game with the ability to control games; in fact, they are averaging just 2.9 yards per attempt. Neither Ray Rice nor Bernard Pierce has been able to take over. And Joe Flacco is showing football bettors very clearly that he cannot put a team on his shoulders and carry them on a consistent basis. His completion percentage (59%) is not inspiring, and he has had just as many interceptions as touchdowns.

Ben Roethlisberger has been the better performer (19 TD’s, 64.5%, 7.5 yds per attempt) and he has even been sacked fewer times than Flacco (36 as compared to 37). And while Torrey Smith (17.9 yards per catch) has been the lone explosive receiver available to Flacco, Big Ben may even have that trumped with Antonio Brown, who has gained 1044 yards through the air on his 80 receptions.  For the best in pro football lines, week after week, the best answer is to open an account at BetAnySports USA Online Sportsbook!
