It was kind of unusual that football bettors did not expect a heck of a lot from the Baltimore Ravens, despite the fact that they were the defending Super Bowl champs and had never won fewer than ten games since John Harbaugh came aboard as coach. They had indeed lost leaders on defense like Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, as well as wide receiver Anquan Boldin. And while Torrey Smith (17.9 yards per catch) has been the lone explosive receiver available to Flacco, Big Ben may even have that trumped with Antonio Brown, who has gained 1044 yards through the air on his 80 receptions.
