Game Overview

The Seahawks have proven to be nearly unbeatable with their 9-1 record this year. They may accomplish the task of being unbeatable when wide receiver and former pro bowler Percy Harvin is able to contribute. Harvin is a former Viking who has now joined the Seahawks. Both teams will be putting their best foot forward, but it seems fairly clear that the Seahawks will dominate the competition with their formidable run pass combination. The Minnesota Vikings vs. Seattle Seahawks will be a chance for both teams to showcase their talents.

Those who have watched the Seahawks know that their pass and run game has been formidable. The Vikings have their weapons of destruction as well; with Peterson and Jerome Simpson wideout but as mentioned have struggled this year. Leave it to the Seahawks to combine the passing and the running games and perfect them. It is one of the things that they need to do to have Superbowl visions. Even though the Vikings can put together some formidable plays as they showed in the game against Washington it should still be the Seahawks ballgame.

The Vikings will no doubt make extreme use of their running powerhouse Adrian Peterson. Peterson currently leads the NFL in rushing. The Vikings QB Christian Ponder had a dislocation on his non-throwing shoulder in the game in Washington. No doubt the Vikings will try to minimize the throws that Ponder makes if he even starts the game.

The task of getting the Vikings game ready may instead fall to Matt Cassel, a good QB in his own right. Who ever is the starting QB for Minnesota however, will have their work cut out for them as the Seattle Seahawks have only given up 178.0 passing yards all season.

Coach Pete Carroll feels that the Seahawks have some work to do to perfect the game, but the Seahawks will no doubt put on quite a show with the combination of the run and pass. They have some injuries in the offensive line, but don’t look for this to be a major factor in the game. This is a team that has a great combination of moves that will should allow them to win handily against the intrepid Minnesota Vikings. It is something they are good at doing.
