Week 5 – Biggest NFL Upsets

Tomorrow night will officially begin NFL week 5; it has been an exciting month not only for the people betting on football but the sports fans in general. There has big huge upsets and the biggest point spreads in history.

One trend that people are seeing is that for the 2nd week in a row each underdog who was victorious covered the spread. The question becomes is this the best NFL bet for week 5? Well, during week 4 all six underdogs covered the spread outright, it was an exciting thing to watch.

Looking back on week 4 the favorites were 9-6 and currently 32-28-3 after the first month of this 2013-14 NFL Season. The spread has been fluctuating due to injuries and a whole host of other variables, however moving forward to week 5; the most glistening opening line underdog may be The Patriots. They were the underdogs by three points when they defeated The Bengals, Does this qualify as the best NFL bet for week 5? Lets let the Oddmakers calculate that.

The Patriots are still holding the field down strong with an undefeated record and this may not be the best bet however we have seen historic things happen this season. At the same time as we take a look at the Bengals, we see that they are in need of help for their offensive game.

When the Bengals squared off against The Browns during week 4, they did not score any touchdowns in their 17-6 defeat. Another underdog for week 5 that looks like a good pick is the Philadelphia Eagles, the spread opened up as them as the 2.5 point underdogs, currently they are the three point underdogs. Don’t forget that the Eagles lost three games in a row, ever since their victory over a Washington in week 1.
