Carolina Panthers 2014

NFL Betting – New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers

An eager crowd is expected to be on its feet from the beginning to end as the New Orleans Saints will play the Carolina Panthers. The New Orleans Saints beat the Carolina Panthers the last time those two teams met and the score was 31-13. However, the Panthers will be playing at home this time and they are a solid 6-1 at home this season. The playoffs are fast approaching as we head into week 16 so these two teams are going to give it their all.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have scored at least 24 points in their 7 games this season and that says a lot about their offense. They even proved to be too much against the New York Jets in their last game as they beat them soundly. The Saints are going to start Terron Armstead at left tackle in this game and that might prove to be a big mistake against the experienced offense of the Panthers. Each of their four down linemen can get to the passer immediately but it is apparent that Charles Johnson is going to be the one who will take advantage of this favorable match. Johnson has been a force this season as a pass rusher so he should have no problem whatsoever taking advantage of a rookie.

The defense of the Saints has been impressive this season so the Panthers should take note of that if they want to beat he Saints. New Orleans is known for turning turnovers into points in a jiffy. DeAngelo Williams will look to spearhead the screen action of the Panthers since it worked in their last game against the Jets. The Panthers could take advantage of the fact that the Panthers have not been playing well on the road with only 3 wins against 4 losses in their 7 games away from home.

Cam Newton of the Panthers

Cam Newton of the Panthers has proven time and time again that he is one of the best young quarterbacks in the game. He has been able to minimize on his mistakes. The defense of the Panthers have been very good this year as they rank second in the league in yards allowed and points given up. The Panthers know that if they win here then they just have to beat the Falcons on week 17 for their first division title in 5 years. It is going to be one tough game for both teams as both coaches will look to outdo the other.
