Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Giants Preview

This Sunday, December 15th, we’re going to see a showdown between the Seattle Seahawks (11-2) and the New York Giants (5-8). The game is scheduled to start and we can expect the Seahawks to bring everything to the table against a Giants team that has been asleep throughout this season.

Seattle Seahawks – NFC West Division -Clinched The Wild Card Spot

The Seahawks are in first place in the NFC West Division and have already clinched the Wild Card spot in the playoffs, while the Giants are third place in the NFC East Division. The Giants, coming from a loss last game and lead by veteran Quarterback Eli Manning (3254 yards and 16 Touchdowns), will be looking to rebound from this season and walk off with a victory, but they’ll be up against the strong Seahawks that are also looking to rebound from a loss last week.

As a collective unite, the Seahawks are stronger than the Giants offensively this season, having an average of 356.6 total yards per game, to the Giants’ 321.7 yards. The Seahawks also have an average of 27.5 points per game, while the Giants only have a 19.3. On paper, we’re looking at a victory from the Seahawks, to further establish their spot as number 1 in the NFC West Division, as well as the Wildcard for the National Football Conference.

Seattle Seahawks Defensive Game

Defensively, Seattle is also stronger than New York, as they’ve only allowed an average of 287.1 yards, which is 50.1 yards, less than the Giants’ have allowed throughout the season. New York may have the home field advantage, but will they use it well? The Seahawks will come into New York to further prove they deserve that Wildcard spot and that this season was no fluke for them.

New York Giants

New York, however, has 3 wins and 3 losses at home and their pride will be at stake, not to forget that both of Seattle’s losses were away, one with Indiana back in October and last week against San Francisco. But Russell Wilson has been doing a good job leading Seattle throughout the season and all Seahawks fans will expect no different against the Giants. Despite the differences between the teams and Seattle’s slight advantage on the Giants, one can expect a good game between these two teams and hope that the cold weather won’t get in the way of a great show down, live from New York. So at 1PM, Eastern Time, don’t forget to turn your television to watch the showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and the New York Giants, right from MetLife Stadium.
