Week 5 – Looking At The Mismatches

Week 4 was a victorious week for the teams playing home games; the home teams during week 1-4 are 35-25-3 against The Spread. The 2013-14 has gotten of to an interesting start. We are seeing huge point spreads and grandiose upsets.

We are seeing the teams playing home games winning about sixty five percent of the time. The over/under betting has been pretty even, through the first month we have seen thirty-two Over, and thirty-one under.

Last Sunday, during week 4, The Seahawks covered the spread for their sixth straight game. They made an excellent comeback from the first half and maintained their continuous winning streak. There are a few teams that have not covered the spread at all. The Pittsburgh Steelers, The Texans, and The Jaguars are the only NFL teams yet to cover the spread.

To be exact, Jacksonville and Houston have not covered the spread in 5 straight games. Every single game that the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Minnesota Vikings have gone over the total. The two teams that have stayed under throughout the first four weeks of the season are the Bucs and The Chiefs.
